PEKIN - Beulah M. Hunter of Lincoln, Ill., the mother of a Pekin woman, passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2011.
She went to celebrate Christmas with Jesus and her loved ones who went before her.
Beulah was born March 27, 1932, the daughter of Russel and Letha Dennison, and on May 25, 1949, she married William E. Hunter, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, William E. Hunter Jr.; a son-in-law, Lee R. Lucas; and five brothers and two sisters.
Beulah is survived by one son, Dale (Lynn) Hunter of Lewisville, Texas; three daughters, Earlene Lucas of Pekin, Ruth Ann (David) Kaesebier of Broadwell and Tami (Scott) Moore of Hartland, Wis.; one brother, Roger (Jodi) Dennison of Elkhart; three sisters, Dorothy (Eldon) Hawks of Lincoln, Elizabeth (Dave) Jackson of Williamsville and Jill Gardner of Williamsville; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Beulah was an active member of the VFW Post 1756 Women's Auxiliary and a Cubs and Cowboys fan.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bennett Funeral Home in Lincoln, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate at 530 NE Glen Oak Ave., Peoria, IL 61603, or the American Cancer Society at 675 E. Linton Ave., Springfield, IL 62703.

I remember her and Billl when they owned the tavern in Elkhart....I was just a young girl....my mom and Tami were good friends. So sorry for your loss...have fond memorie of playing shuffle board when my mom worked for them. God Bless you all!!

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Beulah. Many years ago I was associated with her and Bill through the VFW. Both were very kind to me, something I will always hold dear in my heart. God has just received a beautiful angel.
