Bev and Leroy were such dear and faithful friends to the Clark family. They always showed up on Christmas Day and whenever there was a health crisis and we were sitting anxiously in a hospital waiting room, we would look up and there were Bev and Leroy bringing the comfort of their presence. So many memories of delicious meals, walks on the beach, drop in 'visits', and a lovely parties. Love to all the family. From, Mary Jo Clark

I always thought the world of Mr. and Mrs. Townsend. I worked with Mr. Townsend for years and loved when I got to see Mrs. Townsend. She will be missed by many.

Dear Townsend Family,

Mrs. Townsend was the quintessential Southern Lady. Grace, tastefulness, dignity, intellect, modesty and proper restraint consistently defined her appearance and behavior. I am certain she was admired by all who knew her and served as a role model to peers and younger women alike. What a privilege it is to have shared life so closely with such a special person and positive influence.

Grace and Peace be with us all,

Jim Alexander

Mrs. Townsend was lovely inside and out. She was a precious member of our congregation and we are all better for knowing her. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the family not only for Mrs. Townsends passing, but the difficulty laying to rest a loved one during this time of pandemic and social distancing. You will remain in my prayers.

Such a beautiful lady. I always admired her. She was a shining example to me growing up in Lumberton.
