I was disheartened to learn of Ms Beverly's death. I had googled the shop address to send her a Christmas card (she had been on my mind) and found out she had passed away.

Your Mother was an amazing woman and I had the pleasure of being her massage therapist some 20 years ago [she credited me for not having to have surgery on her feet, which she felt she was too old to let that happen]. I would give her 90 minutes sessions on Mondays and Thursdays, which were usually cut short because of leaving the store late). But, she would give me the code to the gate and I would be set up by the time she arrived. After her massage she would grab a bottle of wine and serve up a bowl of gazpacho (which I had never had and haven't had since) and begin to impart wisdom.

She was such an interesting person. She spoke of you children often and loved you very much. She told of the days of starting her own business, her extended stay at Esalen - Big Sur and the visits to Red Door Spa. She gave me encouragement and confidence in my work... and it was because of her that I became a Reiki practitioner. My heart is sad but I know she is at peace. My prayers and condolences to you all.

I am sorry to learn of the loss of Beverly. She was one of my early mentors. I just adored her and I know she liked me too. We really clicked. What a woman! We both lived on Harris trail and her daughter shared my same name, Mimi. We both spent tons of time at the flea markets and I learned alot from her business savvy. She will be remembered and missed. An Atlanta treasure.

Beverly was a pioneer for women in business as well as the silver business. She was a very unique woman and I always enjoyed the time I got to spend with her. She had an amazing business sense as well as a fantastic sense of humor. I hope her family are all doing well and I am sure she is missed. God bless, Vincent Callahan

I was the pastry chef at Cloudt's in the seventies and eighties. She adored my almond macaroons. Whenever we catered a "do" at Beverly's house I always made sure we brought her a stash of the macaroons, regardless of what she had scheduled for dessert.

I met Beverly in the early 70's. She was just starting her business and we carpooled our boys to a daily camp. She told me her story and I admired her strength then and now. She was a classy lady, determined and strong. I didn't see her often but will miss her. My love goes out to her children.

A beautiful classy lady she was. I loved hearing her talk about her life. My thoughts will always be of the short time I spent with her in her home. Her, her kids and grandkids was always so nice and welcoming. She was a jewel !

I have many wonderful memories of shopping at Beverly's store when I lived in Atlanta, and I will miss her terribly. She truly was one of the last of a bygone era in Atlanta that I'm thankful I was able to experience.
One of my favorite Beverly stories is visiting her house one time and admiring some fabulous candlesticks she had. They were absolutely black with tarnish and I remarked sarcastically that I was surprised to see that. She shot back in her trademark lilting southern drawl " I keep them that way so burglars will think they're from IKEA". She'll surely be missed.

God rest the soul of this great lady. She shared her encyclopedic knowledge without limit but always with consideration for even the most modest customer. What a gift to help countless people select just the right gift!

She was a great lady & buisness woman. She loved people in the Pawn sector which I've been in for over 30 years & dealt with Beverly privately buying from her for our family & selling to her as well. She will be missed...feel very fortunate to have known her since 1986...

Mimi one of my favorite memories was a business trip to New York. Your mother was on the plane across from me and we had a long, lively chat that made the time pass very quickly because she was fun, entertaining, and interesting. I am sorry for your loss. She was a formidable woman. Regards, Ann Lally

I met Beverly in the mid 70's, while strolling through the Atlanta Flea Market...After a 5 minute chat, she asked me if I would manage her proposed shop at The Omni....This venture motivated me to open my own Antiques Store...She was both tough and fragile, personable, yet outspoken...a very unique lady....

What a strong and wonderful woman Beverly Bremer was! Even when I was young and first getting into the silver business she took me under "her wing" and really took the time to talk with me and share our passion of silver and even life.

You will be truly missed and thank you for all the good that you did and will continue to do through your generosity and care

Beverly was one of a kind...

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all family and friends,

Much love, Marc and Gina

I extend my heartfelt sympathy to Mimi and all of Beverly's family. Beverly was larger than life, with a strong personality that variously inspired, awed and entertained those in her company. I admired her determination and her keen insight into situations. She was generous and she faithfully supported the programs close to her heart. Her support for the Georgia Museum of Art was unfailing and dozens of objects bear her name and testimony to her civic interests.
She once told me that she wanted her philanthropy to do nothing less than make Georgia better for everybody. The decorative arts program at UGA will forever be indebted to her and her name will live on for generations in our galleries. The objects she gave or provided funds for are teaching tools used every semester for students. Truly, she cared.
I hope her wonderful family can celebrate her long and fruitful life consoled in the knowledge that she did much for many. Beverly made an epic imprint upon us all, and she will not be soon forgotten. May she rest in peace and I wish peace and comfort to her family.

Mimi and Family: Your Mother was an original and they broke the mold after she arrived on this Earth. We are all better for having met her and she truly will be missed. Beverly was a force of nature who survived adversity and became even stronger. " I can't" was not in her vocabulary. She took every challenge and faced it right on, most times, conquering and exceeding the challenge. My family's prayers are with you all. May she find the peace and rest she so often sought, in this life, in the arms of her Savior.

My deepest sympathy to you all. A dear Atlanta friend introduced me to Ms. Bremer when I became the gift manager at Nordstrom Perimeter Mall in 1998. Beverly's tenacity and willingness to partner with me to help Atlanta shoppers find just the perfect gift developed into a friendship that has lasted 29 years. I considered her a mentor and a friend. She encouraged me to use the good stuff "What are you saving it for after all?" she would query with amusement. Because of her, we use it all the time, remembering her kindness. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Beverly, will always be one in a million. She mentored, advised, and always encouraged me to be my best. I will always remember her trust in me and I am thankful that I have my southern sterling with "pride at my table."

Oh I absolutely adored Beverly from the minute I registered my silver pattern with her in 1974 as a soon-to-be-bride until her recent retirement. I so enjoyed talking with her about her family, her trips and her silver. A wonderful lady, I will miss her.
