Beverly Rae Stein

Beverly Rae Stein, 76, of Terre Haute died Wednesday evening, April 29, 2009 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. She was a retired Special Education Teacher having taught in St. Louis, Mo. and also Parke County, Ind. She was born March 18, 1933 in Mecca, Ind. to Austin Lewis and Evelyn Smith Lewis. Survivors include her father, Austin Lewis of Terre Haute; her children, Thomas James Stein IV and his wife, Rhonda of West Lafayette, Ind., George Broderick Stein of Lafayette, Ind., Scott Stein and his wife, Barb of Fishers, Ind., Elizabeth Hutchins of Charlotte, N. C. and Rebecca Cunningham and her husband, Dean of Rockville, Ind.; and 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Stein, T. J. Stein, Austin Stein, Ryan Stein, John Paul Stein, Teresa Rose Stein, Dominic Stein, Hannah Hutchins, Hank Hutchins, Hogan Hutchins, Clayton Cunningham and Ben Cunningham.Beverly was a graduate of William Woods Girls College in Fulton, Mo. and also the University of Missouri where she received her Bachelor's of Science degree. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Associate of Tri Kappa, Delta Gamma Sorority and Rockville Women's Club.Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2009 in St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Rick Ginther officiating. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary Service to take place at 7:30 p.m. in Callahan and Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
