Swanson, Beverly J. age 83 of Edina, passed away January 15, 2014 from complications of dementia. Loved and cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Born and raised in Hopkins, attended Gustavus Adolphus College where she met her husband and many life long friends. Bev and Gordie raised their family in Hopkins and Edina and enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren. "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die." -- Thomas Campbell Preceded in death by parents, Sylvia and Orville Parks; husband, Gordon R. Swanson; sister, Pat Zakariasen. Survived by son, Kirk (Anne); daughters, Vickie (Tom) Swanson Vogel, Holly (Steve) Swanson Stapel, Sherrie Swanson-Behboudi (Nader); grandchildren, Matthew Swanson, Joe Swanson, Robbie Clemens, Nicole Clemens, Ashley (Kit) Leary, Brittney Stapel, Meishon Behboudi, Natasha Behboudi; great-grandchildren, Quinn Swanson and Grayson Leary; many other relatives and friends. Memorial service 2 PM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at: www.Washburn-McReavy.com Eden Prairie Chapel 952-975-0400 7625 Mitchell Road (1 blk N of Hwy 5)
