Beverly Joyce Uloth

Hanover - Beverly Joyce Djerf Uloth, a lifelong Hanover resident, passed away peacefully after a long illness on April 21, 2024. She was born on July 30, 1936 and was the third of fourteen children born to Hugo and Laura Djerf. Bev graduated from Hanover high school in 1954 where she was actively involved in sports and several clubs.

After graduation, she enlisted in the U. S. Marines which was unusual for a woman at that time. After serving, she began her career in Boston as an executive secretary in a law firm. One of those attorneys became a judge and she continued in his employ for many years. In later years, she worked locally including some years at the Hanover Town Hall. Bev loved to read and to play games and cards with family and friends.

She married Richard (Dick, Uggie) Uloth September 14, 1958, and they began their life together in a small apartment in Hanover. In 1962, they bought their home on Main Street, which continued to be her home until her death. Bev spent the last year of her life at Baypath Rehab and Nursing Facility in Duxbury where she made many friends and was well taken care of by the staff nurses.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard H. Uloth, her son, Richard D. Uloth, granddaughter, Kimberly Uloth, and great-granddaughter, Aliyah Szymczak. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Djerf of California, Jeanette Pierce, David Djerf, Donna Brillant, Doreen Chisholm, Diane Panton and John P. Djerf, all of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Laura Djerf, her sisters, Barbara Wheeler, Marjorie Prouty, Marcia O'Kelley Vincent, Linda Djerf, and brothers, Hugo Djerf, Jr., and Richard Djerf.
