Beverly "Bev" Untiedt

Beverly "Bev" Untiedt, 77, originally from Colby, Wisconsin, passed away on January 11, 2024, at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, Illinois, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 14, 1946. Beverly was a kind and loving person who had a passion for reading, baking and Bob Marley. However, her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her children and grandchildren.

If you knew her, you loved her. Always there when you needed her. Never afraid to tell you her opinion, stubborn as hell, and LOVED her books. We lost a special one. She put up a good fight for years, but she was tired. Now she's no longer in pain. We love you, we miss you, and we'll see you again one day.

Beverly is survived by her sons, Matthew (Lena) Johnson and Michael Untiedt-Jones, and her daughter, Megan Jones. She leaves behind her 12 beloved grandchildren. Bev is also survived by her sisters, Karen (Barry) D'Orazio, and her sisters, Geraldine (Paul) Hein and Joan Petrykowski, as well as her brother, Harry Untiedt Jr and her former husband, Clarence Jones.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Viola Untied, and her siblings: Evelyn (Clem) Arend, John Untiedt, Jerry Untiedt, Lynn Untiedt, Eugene Untiedt, Patricia Untiedt, Donna Scidmore, and Cynthia (Bill) Singstock. She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Tom Petrykowski, and her sister-in-law, Pat Untiedt.

Beverly graduated from Colby High School in Wisconsin. She moved to Chicago after high school, where she built a long lasting career at Harris Bank.

Beverly worshipped at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus. A memorial service will be held there on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 10am :
