I met Bill when he worked with (mentored) my son behind the bar at Pub Donegal in Mount Joy. He imparted hands-on knowledge that Wes has carried with him (and passed on) through the years. I followed Bill's story with his son through my work at Elizabethtown College. What an amazing father and advocate. I imagine Bill's sense of humor was an outlet for the intensity -- and heartache -- in other area of his life. Whenever our paths crossed I knew my mood would be lifted and I'd find myself sharing in laughter. Thought the outer package was a bit rough around the edges, it held a truly good and inspiring man!

Bill meant more than most people to me. As a transplant to New York, finding my people, then coming back to PA again, he was a beacon. Bill didn't give compliments in music often, but I was lucky enough to receive some from him... He kept me out of trouble as a young punk trying to find my way. He did wholesome things with me in my older years and reminisced. We talked a lot about how to influence the world to be better. From what I understand, he was a very wild dude who remained driven, he turned into a great father, and he is (and forever will be) a damn good man. Chris is a chip off the old block, and that's why he fought so hard for people to see through the surface. Interacting with Kate and Bill as a couple was always like a zinger waiting to happen. They knew what they wanted in love and that was perfect for them. My sincere condolences.

I couldn´t tell you my first memory, so many nights blurred together at that age... but I can tell you my one of my most recent... after running into Bill after the longest time, he gifted my 6 year old one gold pirate coin while we were celebrating Celtic Fling... you should have seen both their faces... I am certain for a moment Bill was a child and Lyanna was beaming from ear to ear, convinced that this was legitimate pirate plunder ... he will be missed...
