Mr. Dudley "Bill" Dunlap, 81, of Paris died Thursday, September 1, 2022, in Paris.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Rawls Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Union Grove Cemetery in Puryear.
Visitation will begin at noon on Saturday at the funeral home.
he was born on February 17, 1941, in Puryear, TN, to his late parents, Johnny B and Johnnie Mae Tharpe Dunlap. Bill, as he was so affectionately known to his family and friends, was reared and educated in the Puryear School System and Henry County School System and attended Central High School.
Bill, left Henry County moving on to the city life, living and working in Chicago, IL until he returned to Paris to his family and friends. Bill enjoyed gardening and sharing his crops with others. He never met a stranger; he was always friendly. Forever cutting up. Bill loved his family, friends, cooking, and having a good time.
Bill accepted Christ and was a member of Union Grove MBC.
Bill has transitioned into eternal life to join his parents, wife, Clara Dunlap; brothers, Junell Dunlap and Elmer Dunlap; and one sister, Dimple Pratt.
Bill will truly be missed by all that knew him.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his sister, Lois Crump; children: Betty (Ralph) Cowan, Barbara Bufford, Sebrina (Farries) Jennings, William McCutcheon; grandchildren: Lamont Foster, Chad Huctherson, Yolanda Wilson, Nitisha McWherter, Michelle McWherter, LaDon McCutcheon, Lillian Lomsdale; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
