Bill Land NINETY SIX -- Marion "Bill" Irvine Land, 97, of 111 Lowell Street, Ninety Six, widow of J.W. "Skeeter" Land, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2016 at her home. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late James T. Irvine, Sr. and Nellie Cox Irvine. Mrs. Land was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was twice married, first to the late Thurmond T. "Pete" Boswell, who died in Italy during WWII. Mrs. Land was preceded in death by three sisters, Mattie Irvine, Jenny Ginn and Lindy Webb; and a brother, James T. "Sam" Irvine, Jr. Surviving are a son, Jimmy Boswell of the home; two daughters, Gail Wilson and her husband, Troy of Ninety Six and Karen Martin and her husband, Eddie of Williamston; two sisters, Lib Montjoy and Mary Frances Creswell, both of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Gina Koone and her husband, Pat, Denise Manley and her husband, Jim, all of Greenwood and Jessica Keels and her husband, Lee of Greenville; and seven great-grandchildren, Davis Renee Harley of Murrlles Inlet, Charley Gail Manley, Scarlett Manley, both of Greenwood, Patrick Koone and his wife, Shelby of Lexington, Bradley Koone of Anderson, Mary Chandler Keels and Jackson Keels both of Greenville. Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dan Smyth and Rev. Earl Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Pat Koone, Jim Manley, Lee Keels, Mark Smith, Tommy Creswell, Terry Creswell, Mike Creswell and Jerry Montjoy. The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 2 to 3 p.m. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646; or to Temple Baptist Church, 95 Saluda Street, Ninety Six, SC 29666. The family would like to express their gratitude to caregivers, Yasharia Avery and Dana Goldman for their love and care shown to our family. The family is at the home.
