Bill Metts BRADLEY -- William Carroll "Bill" Metts. 58, of 221 County Line Road, husband of Pamela Wesson Metts, died Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Carroll Everette Metts and Lucille Satcher Metts. Bill worked with Davis & Floyd and was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, where he was the Lay Leader of the church and also taught Sunday school. Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, are a son, William Cromer Metts and his girlfriend, Holly Girard of Greenwood; two stepsons, Jeffrey Paul Minor and his wife, Terri of Greenwood and Bradley William Minor and his wife, Amber of North Charleston; a sister, Jo Anne Metts of Seneca; two brothers, Samuel E Metts, III of Greenwood and Mark Lee Metts of San Diego, CA; a special first cousin, Debra Metts Ouzts of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Morgan Minor, Briggs Minor, Summer Minor and Brooks Minor; a niece, Ruby Jo Metts; and three nephews, Zachary Metts, Sam Metts and Nathan Metts. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Carol Peppers Wray officiating. The family will receive friends at the church before the service from 12:30 to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Hospice House, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646. The family is at the home. Harley Funeral Home and Crematory (www.harleyfuneralhome.com) is in charge of arrangements.

Bill treated me like a brother when I moved up there from Florida I'm sitting at work now just did an internet search for my old bud my heart is broken my deepest condolences to the family.We'll fish again one day brother

I'm very heart broken of the lost of my best friend fo 50 years my brother an every way me and bill went to see my brother 2 years ago last time I seen him I loved this man he was all ways there I'm sorry Pam Sammy Joan and mark for your lost and will God bless you all

I had the pleasure of working with Bill on projects through the years. He was such a nice person! I am sorry to hear he has passed away. May God bring his family and friends comfort and peace over the next few days and may you cherish your memories of Bill.

I remember Bill from Greenwood High. He was one of the nicest people that I ever met. A rarity in High School. I guess that's why I remember him. My sincere hope is that his family finds peace beyond understanding.

I worked with Bill Metts at Davis & Floyd for quite a few years. He was always one of the nicest people and would help you out any way he could. He will be truly missed. I can remember the same smile on his face that you have in his picture here. My condolences to his family and friends.
