Bill Salt

Bill Salt coached me on the Chinooks 37 years ago at a time in my life when I really needed someone like him. He was so kind, knowledgeable and respectful. He was a good man who genuinely cared. All these years later, he continues to influence the way I play and coach soccer today. Not a game goes by without me thinking of what a great influence he has been in my life. Condolences to his family.

Bill was an inspirational soccer coach to me growing up developing my self confidence at a time when we need it. He was passionate about soccer, helping our Chinooks team to raise funds to take our team abroad to compete in 1984 at the Gothia Cup and Dalecarlia Cup, Borlange. I feel very fortunate to have had him as a coach and sports figure who helped create a strength in me for who I am today. We have few strong important leaders in our lives, and Bill was one of them. I will always remember him and the opportunity he created for us girls to experience soccer at a worldly level. May Bill rest in peace! God Bless.

Mr Salt was a great man. Always helping with the community and with all. He was there when I started playing soccer. Words of encouragement, handing out uniforms and having a smile for you when you needed it. My deepest condolenses on such a great lost. Please know he truly was great.

The Bill I knew was very passionate about his horses, dogs and Cloudwalker Stables. During the time my horse was there, I never worried about him as I knew Bill would be feeding through any weather. Thanks for the talks, for sharing with me your knowledge and love of horses and allowing me to learn about your love of Jazz. I will cherish those memories. Rest in Peace Bill. I was so very sorry to hear of Bill's passing today, and would like to send my condolences to the family. Bill and my father were involved in the North Glenmore Community Association together for years, and my dad always spoke highly of Bill. It's difficult to lose a father, and I hope knowing the impact his life had on others, will help you through this difficult time.
