Billie McDaniel Obituary
San Angelo
Billie Avriett McDaniel, 85, lifelong resident of San Angelo, passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 in San Angelo. She was born Feb. 27, 1930 also in San Angelo to the late Thomas and Gertrude Haynes Avriett. Billie married Charles A. McDaniel in 1953 and he preceded her in death last December.
She was a Master Gardner and enjoyed gambling as often as she could. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and of the Democratic Party. Billie retired after many years of service as Treasurer with Tom Green County. Billie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons Thomas Richard (Rusty) and Douglas Frederick McDaniel; and granddaughter Anna Laura McDurmitt Sheffield.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2 at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3 in the Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at johnsons-funeralhome.com.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Joe Hatfield; grandchildren Ricky McDaniel and Kris McDurmitt; great-grandchildren Laura Lynn Sheffield, Thorin McDurmitt and Logan McDurmitt; her beloved dog Princess; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home of San Angelo.
