Billy Carter Obituary
Bill was born on July 19, 1928, in Alma, Arkansas, to his parents, Cathie and Geneva. He proudly served in the Navy Seebees during WW2. After his military service, Bill had a successful career at Fort Smith Sash and Door, ultimately retiring from Inland Container.
He is survived by his beloved wife Velma, his son Gary and wife Vonda, his daughter Angie and husband Rick, 4 grandsons - Brent and Larisa, Nick and Nikki, Ethan and Delaney, Matt and Ann, and 8 great-grandchildren. He acted as grandfather to Kim Caminos and family. Bill is also survived by his sisters Bessie Andrews and Margaret Carter. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Melba Taylor.
Bill worshipped at Calvary and enjoyed fishing with Raymond Beckham in his spare time.
A service to honor and celebrate Bill's life will be held at Calvary, 3235 N. Hwy 71, Alma, Arkansas, on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. Private burial at a later date.
Rest in peace, Billy Roy Carter. Your dedication to your country, career, and family will forever be remembered.
