Billy Craig Obituary
Billy Rowland Craig, 67, of Lampasas, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023.
Visitation will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm. Services will be on Saturday, October 21, 2023, 11 am, at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel Lampasas with interment to follow at Straley Cemetery.
Billy was born August 4, 1956, on Holloman AFB in New Mexico to Jimmie and Dorothy Craig. For most of his career, Billy worked in law enforcement. He served as a police officer with Copperas Cove PD, Central Texas College PD and the Lampasas County Sheriff's Office.
Billy enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. He enjoyed life and loved his family with all of his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Dorothy Craig, and stepson, Travis Pruett.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Craig; his son, Kevin Craig and wife Beth; his daughter, Mandy Hurry and husband Pete; stepdaughter, Tracie Itz and husband Jason; his brother, Jack Craig and wife Brenda; his sisters, Sue Craig and Pam Windam and husband Don; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Anna, Levi and numerous nieces and nephews.
