Billy Wayne Lockwood

Services for Billy Wayne Lockwood, 78, of Chandler, are scheduled for Friday, April 4, 2014 at 2:30 PM at First Baptist Church in Chandler with Rev. Bob Sexton and Rev. Tom Roebuck officiating. Burial will be in Chandler Memorial Cemetery under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Lockwood died April 1, 2014 in Chandler. He was born September 1, 1935 in Lillie, Louisiana. He served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1964. He retired from Good Year after serving for nearly 35 years.

He is preceded in death by parents, James and Ollie Lockwood, three brothers, and five sisters.

Survivors include wife, Sarah Lockwood of Chandler, sons, Mike Green and wife Monika of Ben Wheeler, Dewain Lockwood of Ft. Worth, Randel Lockwood and wife Kelly of Van, daughter, Susan Ashley of Emerald Bay, sister, Frances Albritton of Downsville, Louisiana, grandchildren, Corey Ashley and wife Amy of Nacogdoches, Anissa Green of Lindale, Hallee Delaney and husband Brandon of Chandler, Cannon Green of Cayuga, Austin Lockwood of Van, Logan Lockwood of Van, Bowdie Gilchrist and wife Janet of Van, and 10 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Corey Ashley, Austin Lockwood, Logan Lockwood, Cannon Green, Brandon Delaney, Steve Lockwood, Randy Pye, and Mitchell Roach.

Honorary pallbearers will be Grayson Delaney, Keaton Delaney, and Tate Ashley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Chandler, P.O. Box 361, Chandler, Texas, 75758, or, Heart to Heart Hospice, 7240 Chase Oaks Blvd., Plano, Texas, 75025.

Visitation will be Friday, April 4, from 1-2:30 PM prior at the church.
