Dr. Pounds was one of my first, and one of my favorite, teachers at the W. I respected and admired him. I went with him on a field trip to Parchman Prison -- it was an adventure for sure. He touched so many lives. I am so sorry for your loss.

I have so many fond memories of Billy Pounds from growing up in Booneville, and attending First Methodist Church. He was an incredible teacher that I had at NE and the W, but above all he was such a good guy! My sympathy to all his family, and multitude of friends that were fortunate enough to have him in their life for whatever time it was! He will be missed!

Genie, Angie, and Mary Dean,
I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Pound's passing away and extend my heartfelt prayers to all of you. Your gallery of pictures were great to see of some of the very special memories in your lives. Dr. Pounds was truly blessed and so are you. I will never forget my trip to Europe in 1974 with you all, a trip of a life time for me, but also, I regarded Dr. Pounds to be the best teacher I had at MUW. May the Lord show you much love and comfort. Sincerely, Paula Ellzey Peterson (Loveland, CO)
