“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2
Bishop Paul Wayne Veal was born January 18, 1960, to Robert and Odelia Veal. He grew up in Mellville,Louisiana and received his education at Phyllis Wheatley High school.
He married the love of his life, Shelia Annette Cotton, on October 16, 1989 and shared 31 beautiful years of marriage. Together they have two children, Haley Arlette Simpson Veal and Quintin Gerard Veal. They are also grandparents to 5 beautiful boys, Ryan, Brandon, Jacob, Joshua, and Ethan and one granddaughter, Braydn. Bishop and Sister Veal also adopted one of her late sister’s granddaughters into their hearts as their own, little Brooklynn.
Bishop Veal was raised by God-fearing parents, who were his initial example of the standard of holiness. Bishop Veal received the HolyGhost in the early 80’s, and was soon after led to Beaumont, Texas where he began to grow and develop under the leadership of Bishop Lovis Simpson. Bishop Veal was licensed as an Elder under Bishop Simpson and eventually released to Pastor. In 2015 Bishop Veal was ordained a Bishop in the World Wide Fellowship, Serving as 2nd Assistant Bishop to the late Bishop William H. Sherrard and then to the Presiding Prelate Bishop H. McClendon. Throughout his ministry, Bishop Veal preached and lived with fervent conviction. His motto was: “It’s Holiness or Hell!”.
He loved and respected many and was loved and respected by many. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Emma Mae, and Laura Mae, and one brother, Leroy Veal.
Bishop Veal departed this life on July 2, 2021. He leaves to continue his legacy and celebrate a life well lived, his precious wife of 31 years, Shelia Cotton Veal; his children: Quintin (Ebonique), and Haley; his grandchildren: Ryan, Brandon, Jacob, Joshua, Ethan, and Braydn; His Siblings: Eillis (Pearlie), Robert (Mary), Donald, David (Sharon), Larry (Ellishida), and Mary Ann(Robert); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, the Solid Rock Holiness Church Family, and friends.
May the works he’s done and the life he lived speak for him!

Papa Veal will truly be missed by the Three Veal boys : Ryan, Brandon and Jacob. The way his face lit up every time he seen them; as if it were for the first time. It will never be forgotten how he talked to them about being men since they were born. The boys are also grateful to have had a grandfather who talked to them about living for the Lord. Ryan will forever hold dear to his heart how Papa allowed him to play the drums during the church service. The blessing is that ...God in his Infinite Wisdom made provisions for the boys to spend Papa Veal’s last day with him. They enjoyed running around doing man stuff.. lol. This will be their lasting memory. (Look at God!) Papa always longed to be with the Lord and now he made it! -Much Love Papa

My condolences to the Veal family. My neighbor and childhood friend has returned to God. I can still hear his mom calling Larry/Paul when it was time to come inside when dust fell. We would be playing in the alley by there home. I'm saddened by his death but heaven is rejoicing. Well done Bishop!

Sorry to hear the news of Bishop Veal's transition. He was a man of God. After the hard freeze in February of this year, a large tree limb fell on my roof. Bishop Veal came over and offered to remove the limb before other damage would occur. Very grateful for kindness he exhibited. God bless his family & may he rest in peace.
