Donna M. Swanson, age 89 of Coleman, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 29, 2022 following a short illness. Donna was born on May 6, 1933 to the late William and Michaeline (Schaut) Krutz and grew up on a farm in the town of Grover. She graduated from Peshtigo High School with the class of 1951. Donna worked in the office at Badger Paper Mill in Peshtigo following graduation and worked there until her retirement in 1993. On April 30, 1960, Donna married Kenneth Swanson. Donna enjoyed attending church, reading, bowling, bird watching, and spending precious time with her family. She was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church in the town of Grover.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Craig) French; grandchildren, Tiffany (Ryan) Remic, Tyler (Jindai Joseph) French, and Taylor (Ali Elsner) French; great-granddaughters, Trinity, Lexis, Olivia, Kenzington, Henley and Baby Girl due in March; sister, Joanne (Pat) Kinziger. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; sister, Phyllis.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at St. John Lutheran Church (N1904 Church Rd, Peshtigo, WI 54157) from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Daniel Sargent officiating. Donna will be interred beside her husband at St. John Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at www.gruetzmacherfuneralhome.com.

The family would like to thank her neighbor, Tom; nieces, Lisa and Paula; Unity Hospice Team, especially Tori and Lisa; special caregivers, Kelly and Angie. Without the help of these angels, Donna would not have been able to end her life in the house built by her husband.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Donna's honor to the St. John Lutheran Church organ fund.
