Blair Dean Barnard, 70 of Midland, died Sunday, November 6, 2022. He was born November 10, 1951 in Midland, son of the late William Leslie and Audrey Adelaide (Anderson) Barnard. Blair grew up in Midland and graduated from Midland High School. He worked construction after graduation and remained in the construction field his whole life. On March 6, 1971 he married the former Joanna Lou Noyes in Midland. Blair was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his sons, Dean (Patti) Barnard, and Robert (Corrine) Barnard; one daughter, Amy (Trevor) Cassiday; grandchildren: Paige Barnard, Blaine and Ashlynn Barnard, Kailey, Abigail, and Colton Cassiday. Blair is also survived by his brothers, Rod (Anne) Barnard of Bay City, and Kirk (Leane) Barnard of Midland; and sisters, Janice Acker and Joyce Hepinstall, both of Midland, and Judith Barnard of Grand Rapids, and Jill (John) Noyes of Albright Shores. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Joanna on December 17, 2007, and by his brother Bud Barnard.
Funeral services for Blair will take place 11 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 from the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 West Wheeler Street, with Pastor Bill Greiner of Eagle Ridge Church of God officiating. Interment will follow in Homer Township Cemetery. Blair's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
