This is very sad news. My condolences to Blair's family. I was a classmate of Blair's at St. Peters; just reacquainted with him at the classes' 50th reunion. Such a nice person and good class member. He appeared to have squeezed a very full life into a shorter time than expected.
Sincere wishes for recalling him as a good person and a life well spent.

Blair was a warm friend who made me feel at home when I moved from Conn and joined ALW in No. Atlleborough. His wife Maggie was so sweet and special. I'm saddened by this loss. He was even-tempered, always a gentleman, a great example of how we all need to be towards one another. See you in heaven buddy, I'm sure Maggie is glad to see you. Jim LeBlanc

Ryan,
I tried to locate an address for you but could not. So hopefully you will see this. On behalf of Mr. Dean and myself and Evan and Conor, please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your dad. From our days of being neighbors on Hunting Street, we always enjoyed running in to him and having a chat. Always with a friendly smile on his face and always asking after the family. We missed him when it came time to sell the house and move. He is in our thoughts and prayers and every time we drive down Hunting Street, I think of he and your mom. God be with you, Ryan.

I was fortunate to run into Blair at the WSC 50th football anniversary and had the opportunity to tell him how much I appreciated his leadership on the football team when I was a freshman and he was a senior. Blair made everyone feel welcome and truly led by example. A class act who will be missed terribly by those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Blair was certainly one of life's good people. My condolences to his family.

Thoughts and prayers to the Deeney family. Blair was a great guy and WSC football captain. He always helped the younger players and made you feel part of the football family no matter what your status was on the team at the time. A class act and person. He is now united with the love of his life Maggie. Two special people

To Ryan
I regret the 3000 miles that separates me from being on Hammond Street , with all the Deeney & Lancer family to honor the life of a good man. I am in California for the winter, but will be with all of you today.
I regret not following my gutbefore the Super BowlI thought about calling BlairI did follow thruI got distracted the hard lessons we learn in life. Follow your gutfollow your heart.! Carpe' diem! It reminds me of what I saw on Blairs linked in account.
A small picture says a lot :
The biggest mistake we make in life is thinking we have time.this is an addition Blair chose for his own instagram account.
I am sure, this was a theme that ran thru and directed his life. Blair chose to live it to the max with a wonderful son to pull him thru the tragic loss of Maggie. While standing at the sideline of a WSC football event, Blair shared that loss with me and of the hole it left in his heart. Above all, he told me of his love and gratitude for his wonderful son, Ryan.
His commitment to all that he loved, including WSC Football was remarkable. He was a tru Lancer, always supportive, always game ready, never whining and always ready to bolster every other man on the field. This is how he lived his life and those who knew him, loved him for this,
Blaire did not get all time in life he deserved, but he crammed the maximum into those short years . He was such a gift to all who knew him.
Blair..I will always remember you as a Foundation Rock of the WSC football program, a competitive Lancer, and a true gentleman.

My condolences to the Blair Deeney family on the unexpected loss of Blair. I had recently touched base with Blair on Facebook after not seeing him since 1971. I was an assistant coach at Worcester State when Blair was a capt on the football team. As mentioned Blair was an awesome punter. I remember he had a couple try outs with the Jets.
He was a great guy and will always be part of my memories.

Blair was a very close and dear friend. I was able to spend many times with him when he visited Maryland and we would talk and text many times between his visits. I called him the Cosmic Traveler always wishing for him many journeys here on this planet. Now he is the Cosmic Traveler of His Own Heart, bringing with him wherever he goes, all the love he has for everyone and all the love he was given from everyone. I know you are here with us Blair! I pray for you and your family during this time of your transition from one life to your new life. I will miss you always my friend. Travel safely.

My condolences go out to the family of Blair Deeney. I just found out from my best friend of Blair's passing. We were on the football team at Worcester State and I would marvel at his punting skills at practice. He had a knack for punting the ball an average of 50-55 yards which is more than the pros. I also remember Blair's mother who was a cashier at the dining hall. She along with Blair were very nice people to know. May the grieving family have a peaceful recovery, no matter how long it takes.
