Blake Wolfe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 28, 2012.
Blake Alan Wolfe was taken from us suddenly on November 22, 2012. Blake was a 1993 graduate of both Windham High School and Maplewood Career Center.

Blake was well known in the community of Windham and above all, he was known for being a passionate and loving father. His children, Landon and Lily referred to their father as "our daddy who can fix anything". Blake's family and friends knew him as a man who lived for the day and lived every moment to the fullest. Blake was a welder and mechanic by trade and most recently was employed by the Isler family. He was also a coach for his son's baseball team and an avid racecar driver. Blake's most recent accomplishment was placing 2nd in points for the e-mod division at the Deerfield Raceway.

Blake is survived by his children: Landon and Lily Wolfe, parents Dave and Dianne Roman, grandparents, Sam and Marsha Roth, Audrey Roth and Winifred Wolfe, as well as a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Blake is preceded in death by his father Robert Wolfe.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Blake. A brief memorial service, officiated by Pastor Lisa Kropinak, will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Sugar Bush Golf Club, 11186 S.R. 88 Garrettsville, OH 44231 with a dinner and further celebration of life to follow. Please bring memories and stories to share, as they will contribute to upholding Blake's legacy with his children.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Blake's children. Monetary donations can be made at any Cortland Bank to the Landon and Lily Wolfe Beneficiary Account.

Condolences and memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com.

Blake, what can I say about the man? He was the best! I will always remember the times we had and the money we threw into cars, trucks and good times. But most of all, I will miss talking racing and about our kids. He could get me into about anything. His latest was circle track. Man, could that guy talk me into trouble! Especially with my better half, the Boss, my wife. But most of all, I'll never forget the skinny dude we all loved and knew as the Blakester, my friend, the racer. The best father to his kids and an all around good guy. I'll never forget the man I call my friend, love u Blake. I know you're in heaven racing circles, making noise in a new E mod, driving people crazy! But I know u wouldn't have it any other way. I'll never forget u Blake, ever! Your friend, Bates

From his first car, a Volkswagen, and then his old Ford pick up truck, he showed his potential of being able to fix anything. He was so talented-so smart and always had that big smile. He helped everyone that took their problems to him. We are going to miss you Big Guy. Captain Tony
