Blanche Cobb Ferguson

Aunt Blanche was a very special person to all of us.
I will always remember her beautiful smile and sparkling eyes, her kindness and quiet manner.

Blanche means White - the presence of all color, the complete energy of light, wholeness and completion in all seasons. White is the color of a wedding veil, a sailboat's sail, and a kite's tail. White is the color of clouds, of bubbles in a baby's bath, of a puddle of milk, of a grandmother's hair. White is fragrant lily of the valley blooming in the spring and summer. White is fresh fall morning air. White is snow falling on the ground. White is a heaven bound dove flying free. Blanche lived her life in warm southern tones, softly drawing us in. Jim, Larry, Ann and family members; with her love in your hearts, you walk with her forever. I am thinking of you with heartfelt condolences.

I loved visiting the Fergusons' house with Blanche at the helm. She also knew more about baseball than anyone! At least I was convinced of that during the 1957 World Series when I first began paying attention. She knew her Lew Burdette from her Whitey Ford and all the others. Much love to all the Fergs.

Ann, I can only imagine the wonderful life Blanche Ferguson lived through the loving representations I have heard from you over the years.
