"Our Strength"
Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Friend, Blanche Cazier Mayne peacefully passed away March 27, 2009 in Salt Lake City , Utah, She lived a long, fulfilling life, giving endlessly to those that she loved.

Blanche was born in Afton, Wyoming to Artello and Mable Cazier. She was the eldest of their nine children.

On November 18, 1935 she lovingly married Kenneth H. Mayne, they were later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. They are the parents of Kenneth Robert Mayne (daughter-in-law Joanne Broderick Mayne), Ronald Doyle Mayne, Jodi Mayne Davis and Shawn Kennedy Mayne. Blanche was also a kind and caring grandmother to Cindy, Troy,Lonnie and Heather, and great-grandmother to Shane , Alex, Mac, Olivia, McKenzie, Skyler, Colton and Brody.

Aside from her endless devotion to her family she managed to excel in many other ventures. During WWII, she was one of the first female welders, working on the ship "Liberty" in San Francisco. Blanche was the force and heart behind the family boxing and wrestling profession which lead to several World Title Boxing Championships. She also had many successes in real estate.

For years Blanche and her husband Ken resided in Deer Valley during which time she operated two business, The Alpine Prospector Lodge, "Hula Bowl" on Main Street in Park City, and Blanche's Bistro in Ogden, Utah.

Blanche firmly believed that there are no "bad" people just lost souls. She personally touched and healed many souls near and far. Everyone was always welcome in her heart and in her home. All who had the priviledge of knowing Blanche will miss her very deeply..

It is with great sadness today that I learned of Blanche's passing. I tried to keep in touch with her by phone, but was too late this time. I hope that some of the family - Jodie, Marsha or Donna - will contact me so we won't loose track of each other completely now that our older family members are gone. With love and sympathy from the Fawn & Dee Nield family. 949-581-1746

Shawn, Bobbie and Jodi,
So sorry to hear that Aunt Blanche passed away. She is a very gentle person and her light hearted personality will be missed at our rowdy get-togethers! I'm sure she was overcome with gratitude to have her loved ones at her side at the time of her passing. Now she knows just where to find you when she left her earthly form. We'll see you at the viewing tomorrow and if all goes well I'll bring the kids to the reunion afterwards. It will be good to hug everyone and shed a few healing tears together , Love to everyone!

My Family, Please don't mourn for me, I am still here, though don't you see. I'm right by your side each night and day and within your heart I long to stay. My body is gone but I am always near. I'm everything you feel, see or hear. My spirit is free, but I'll never depart As long, as you keep me alive in your heart. I'll never wander out of your sight--I'm the brightest star on a Summer night. I'm the salty tears that flow when you weep and the beautiful dreams that come when you sleep. I'm the smile you see on a baby's face. So just look for me, my family, I'm everyplace!!!!! So much love is dedicated to our wonderful Aunt Blanche,Jennifer Nik,Chris, Nathan, Tye, Taylor, and Sabrina

I was so young when we left Utah but Aunt Blanche is one of my favorite memories. My dad would take me over there and she would give cookies and she always gave me one more than what dad said I could have and she would wink at me!! I know those Mayne kids are welcoming her with great stories and love!! I wish I could be there.

What an honor and privilege to know my friend, sweet, and loving, Blanche. Even in her failing days she mustered up a sweet smile and gentle "Hi Marsha" to welcome me. She was so considerate of my mother to call her and say "I Love You" before my my mother passed away. Such a gracious yet dynamic lady, Blanche took such pride in her family, home, herself, her professional life and everything she did. It's so easy to LOVE Blanche and I treasure the memories I have of her. My sincere love and sympathy to all of her family on the passing of Blanche who we love so much.

I'm thinking of your family at this difficult and the many wonderful memories I have of Aunt Blanche and Uncle Ken. I used to love to walk over the bridge on Wasatch Blvd. for a visit which always included a hug and a cookie. Blanche will truly be missed.
