He was an Iron man from the wooden ladder days. He represented all that was good about being a New York City Firefighter. I thank God to say I knew him.....Bill Kregler

When I became a member of TL117 Bob was a senior man who took me under his wing to teach me things that would save my life on 9/11. He would always make us laugh in the kitchen you couldn't get in the sink during meals because that was his Job. After a fire he would tell us what we did wrong or right he once told us if things became untenable and you had no mask to pull your coat collar up and put your face inside your coat there was some air in there. Well I did that on 9/11 because Marshal's don't have masks and it saved my life. Bob was like an uncle to me. In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
