Bob LeCroix Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 27, 2022.
Robert (Bob) LeCroix of Kyle, Texas was born to Arthur M. and Doris LeCroix. He went to his favorite fishing spot on September 8th, 2022 at the age of 69.

Bob graduated from the University of Texas in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering. After graduation he spent from January, 1976 to August of 1980 working for Offshore Company of Houston. During this time he was based in Japan assisting the management of 4 offshore oil construction projects.

When he returned from Japan he pursued the love of his first car and became a mechanic so that he could learn all there was to know about his Z car which to this day he still has. During his time as a mechanic he joined a Z Car Racing team which competed at the Texas World Speedway.

Bob then started his own business, R. C. Contractors, which was named for Robert and Christie. He was passionately dedicated to his company and it became his lifelong career which he was very proud of.

Bob will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and sister, Maryln Ross. He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Christie, sons Andrew, Matthew and fiancé Natalie and Benito, sisters Janice LeCroix Rizzo, Lea Anne LeCroix and spouse Sonqua, brother-in-law Doug Ross, grandchildren Aadyn, Ares, Benito, Jr. and many nieces and nephews.

Bob's farewell words: See you all in Port A

I remember Bobby hitting a home run in an all star baseball game, about 100 years ago...... man, that was a good hit. He was a good sport. He'll be missed. I'm 99% sure that's him, #3.

I first met Bob, about 25 years ago on a construction project.
I have worked with many contractor over the last fifty years,
Bob was one of the best, sincere to work with. I will miss
him greatly. Bob always had kind words to said about people.
That was the person he was.
Rest in peace, good fishing.

What a gentle, kind man Bob was! He spoke lovingly and often of his wife and boys while we worked on his therapy. I will miss his golf stories and hearing about his business details. He was always so appreciative of everything I tried to help his edema and had a positive outlook. I will donate to PAWS in his honor.

I met Bob about 20 years ago and we have been very good friends ever since. We shared many fishing and hunting trips together with our sons. Bob was always willing to share his hunting lease or favorite fishing hole with others one of the many things I admired about Bob. Bob was a giver not a taker in life, always willing to help out others. Bob´s construction company remodeled my home, the quality of their work is what sold the home. It was a sad day when the LeCroix Family moved away from RR to Kyle yet our friendship survived. Yet another example of how dedicated Bob was to keeping our friendship alive. While we spent less time together the connection we had never subsided. I will miss my good friend Bob and hopefully one day I will join him at his favorite heavenly fishing hole. I know Bob is there now, not to sure I will gain the necessary membership ???
