Bob was a wonderful person and friend, who had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I knew. He treated me and my family just like his own. We shared many laughs weather we were in KC or at Jakes in Chicago. I will always have many special memories of him and the spirit he gave us all. Rest easy my friend.

On behalf of my brother Eric and I would like to offer our condolences to the family. My father the late Payne Montgomery was Bob's high-school basketball coach. Bob quickly became one of the family. He would drop and pick us up from school. Our parents trusted and loved him as one of their own.
The last time I saw him and his lovely wife Emily was when I was in Chicago for a Grambling Football game,
