May God bless and protect you during this difficult time. I am so sorry for your devastating loss. He was a creative genius who ruled radio in Seattle, he will be so deeply missed. Please take comfort in knowing that he is with God and he´s finally at peace. May Bob rest in peace with God by his side.

Bob, my brother and I went to high school together and were both heavily involved in the school's carrier-current AM station (in the aforementioned janitor's closet). We also worked together on a few bootleg AM stations, one in my basement, and both applied for the same on-air DJ job at WLIS one summer. I got that job, but a day later Bob got a better one at New Haven rocker WAVZ, albeit the overnight shift!

I am deeply saddened to hear of this news ..Bob Rivers, a endearing, funny, thought provoking, charismatic man, gone way too soon.
Having done a few guest spots back in the day on KISW, I felt a positive shift in Seattle radio, that I hadn't felt in 20+ years...Both Bob & Spike were true gentlemen. Bob will be greatly missed! My thoughts, prayers and condolences are with his family and friends.

I was lucky enough to be interviewed twice by Bob Rivers and "the boys" in the 1990's... I think about those times, a lot! I miss you, Bob!
