My spouse and I met Bob very briefly near the end of his time here. His larger-than-life personality captivated me. And although we only knew each other a very short amount of time, I like to think of him as a dear friend. I loved, Bob, and am shocked and sadden at his passing. This world lost an incredible soul.

I met General Bob Sheridan at Las Vegas Harry Reid airport by chance not very long ago (Aug 30, 2023). At first he was just talking to some guy that happened to know who he was, eventually me and several other strangers joined together in listening to him in the lobby. It was an early bird flight home, really enjoyed listening to everything he had to say. He had this presence about him that engaged, uplifted , and inspired, everyone around him. Filled with great stories and character, he quoted something someone else once said "Man is the architect of his own future." I had no idea who he was until after I left the airport and googled him at his request after shaking his hand. Turns out he was a legendary boxing commentator, which was quite the coincidence considering how much I was always respected the sport of boxing deep in my heart. Not only that, but he commentated historic Tyson fights! My favorite boxer ever.I told him about my grandfather´s and ancestors service in the marines and and we were in total agreement that those who served are heros to be remembered. Certainly, Bob Sheridan is someone I will always remember and hold dearly in my heart as I believe that meeting him and hearing him say the words "Man is the architect of his own future" may have somehow knocked out my self destructive tendencies. God Bless this great man!

I met the Colonel almost 20 years ago at a Las Vegas 51s game. He was part of a group of baseball friends that really enjoyed each other's company. They talked, laughed, and made fun of each other.
My brother-in-law were invited to join the group. We did and it wasn't so much the baseball, but the camaraderie we shared that made going to the games special. Bob was a MAJOR force with his jokes, stories, etc.
He will be missed.
