Amazing man. An exceptionally loyal Milwaukee personality. Funny, as well as talented. As an actor in Major League movies, Mr Belvedere, appearances on Johnny Carson...aplways brought a smile to all. Self deprecating comedy...on and great play by play announcer... Thanks for bringing laughter to us. Rest easy. You earned it.

A true great!
I always enjoyed listening to Bob as he broadcasted a Major League Baseball game. My only regret was that he was not a native of Chicago.

Dear Family, friends and loved ones of Bob Uecker,
I was so terribly sorry to learn of Bob´s passing. I knew Bob more from his commercials growing up (than I did his baseball history). They were HILARIOUS.
Thanks for ALL the laughs Bob. Classic. They certainly don't make them like you anymore.
Your legacy permanently lives on in baseball, commercials and the hearts of ALL who knew and loved you. May God bless and keep you all with peace, a comfort that passes all understanding and the promise of His word; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
With deepest sympathy,
Andrea Farretta

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Bob was THE reason I became a Milwaukee Brewers fan, when I moved from Chicago to Wisconsin in 1980. His enthusiasm for the game and the Brewers was awesome. He will be sorely missed. Condolences to his family and the entire Brewers fandom. Bob now has the best seat in the house for all future Brewers games! Thank you, Bob!

I got a chance to meet Bob briefly. When I was a teenager , I went by the office of old County Stadium to try and get autographs from the players...as they left the locker rooms . I must have gotten over there early , because no players were coming out yet. But ...out walks Bob Uecker . I said hey ...there's Uecker ! He turns around and says "where" ?!? ( as he pretends to look around) I then asked him for an autograph , and he said " guys ...I would love to help you out , but I have to go home ...and catch the team for the game tomorrow in ...( Baltimore , Boston ,..I can't remember where ?!?) After I grew older , I had seen him at a benefit for Hank Aaron's charity at Miller Park , but I figured that I was too old for that. Nicest guy around !

Watched him in Major League. As I watched the movie I realized I was in drama class in high school with Dennis Haysbert who Bob cremated in the movie. One of my favorite movies of all time. With his famous "swing and a miss " fraise. RIP Bob a true legend.

The only broadcaster I ever heard call games that made baseball so much fun was Bob Uecker. He was humble, kind and it was obvious as to how much he loved the game and most importantly the Brewers.
Thank you Bob for 54 wonderful years and raising me to love baseball and the Brewers.
May you rest in peace in the front row with a bottle of Miller Lite in your hand.

Where do I even begin on how much you impacted the Brewers, but more importantly, you impacted the MLB in a whole. I wanted to take a moment to express my admiration for Ueck. His contributions to baseball and his incredible sense of humor brought joy to me and so many people. "Get U, Get up, Get, Get outta here and gone" is what Ueck would say when a Brewer play hit a home run. To be named Mr Baseball is the an amazing thing, he was named that for how much love he had for the sport. I will forever miss hearing your voice every summer. As a Wisconsin Native, Bob Uecker will forever be in my memories

I have lived in the state of Wisconsin all of my life and remember being thrilled , at the age of 14 , when the Milwaukee Brewers became our Major League baseball team. My first memory of Bob Uecker was sitting at our picnic table in our backyard listening to Bob broadcast the Brewers game on the radio. I am 67 years old now and thankful for the many memories I have of Bob Uecker over all the years. As Bob now begins his Heavenly journey , Brewer fans everywhere are saying one last time ...... GET UP , GET UP , GET OUTTA HERE , GONE!!!

Anyone over age 60 knows this man made baseball fun in Milwaukee when the team really sucked. From 1971 until early 80's,. not much to cheer about. From 1990's to early 21st century just as bad. BUT, if you listened on the radio, he made the game FUN and enjoyable and the results weren't important because the listener was entertained. Summers in Wisconsin will never be the same. Thank you.

My first memory of Bob was when he played as Harry Doyle. I never got the chance to meet Mr. Baseball, but I do know this. After giving all of Wisconsin 54 years of his heart and soul to us, he is hands down by far the best Baseball radio announcer of all time Bob. Favorite is last year may 15 2024 my bday Gary Sanchez was up, yelled to Gary that it was my bday and getting on base or home run. He hit a homerun. Friend was listening on radio and stated what bob said. Well that lady gunna have a great bday now. Happy birthday lady.

Along with Thousands of Uecker fans, I want share my heartfelt condolences to his family, and the entire Brewers organization.
My husband and I would rather sit in the garage, and listen to Bob call the game, then watch it anywhere.
His ability to call the game and tell a story was hands down one of the best talents any living person could have, and Bob did it the best. He pulled you right in, and made you feel you were right there experiencing every second first hand.
His quick wit was something above and beyond as well.
So, as many of you have said,"GET UP, GET UP, GONE" but I will add Bob you will never be forgotten.
Love, a loyal Bob Uecker & Brewers fan.

My 3 best memories:
Earliest: The live call of Sixto Lezcano's opening day grand slam in 1980.
Nicest: I was a teenager and saw him at in the airport. I asked for an autograph and had to hold his cocktail to free his writing hand. I'm sure he was exhausted, but he humored me. I have no ideas where the autograph ended up, but was honored to hold his drink.
Example of his talent: I remember, vaguely, a story he told over several innings about a beehive in a truck on a farm... it may have been his uncle's... somehow it has remained in my brain for 40+ years.
To me the two greatest sports figures in Wisconsin, of all time, Lombardi and Uecker. This makes Uecker the greatest native son! RIP.

Summer nights with Grandpa on the screen porch listening to Bob and Merle Harmon. Police scanner in the background with root beer floats. Grandpa always remarked that if I worked with the Sheriff I could get paid to watch. At the time it sounded like a good idea.

My sincere condolences to the loss of Bob Uecker. Although I never really met Bob, listening to him announcing the Milwaukee Brewers games on the radio was interesting and exciting as he would have your attention and have you feel like you were at the game sitting next to him. It always made for an enjoyable drive while listening to him as I enjoy listening to the games rather than watching them you felt like you were right there at stadium ! At times I would switch to AM radio signal while driving or at home especially if there was static from distant thunderstorms to have Bob announce "Get Up Get Out Of Here Gone!" Then the crackle of lightning as a home run or grand slam was scored. This would bring back memories of my grandparents and parents and older people tell me what it was like to listen to the ball games on radio and I got hooked on it and it makes you think the plays through. A lot of times, I simulcast the game and had Bob on the radio with the TV volume muted which made the games very exciting. A good number of my friends have done this. A true piece of Americana is gone with the loss of Bob Uecker, however his legacy lives on! Thank you for the great memories and knowledge gained! May God rest his soul. I will remember him in my prayers. Phil J Janowski, Town of Hull, Portage County to WI.
