To my Sensei - you had more of an impact on my life than anyone can ever know. I will love you and remember you my entire life - my teacher, my mentor, my friend forever.

To Pammy, Jodi, Michael and All,
My deepest sympathy to you in this most difficult of times. I would like to share something with all of you.
Although Bobbi was my sensei, and I spent many years in her dojo, thanks again to her generosity, that was not the most important part of my relationship with this special woman. I had no mom. She took me under her wing and we became very close friends. I was a destitute single mom. When my son was badly injured at 4 years of age, she insisted we come and stay with her when he got out of the hospital. Often times when I got off of work, I would only have enough money for a can of soup for my son. She would put bags of groceries in my broken down car. When I almost lost my mind, she found help for me and stood by my side almost every moment - 2 years worth of moments. This is the Bobbi that I will always remember. She was there for me when no one else was. I never asked her for anything, but she always knew.
I wish we could have been closer in the last few years. Shame on me. No one was ever there for me like Bobbi.
Although Bobbi was a great sensei, the most important thing that I learned from her was not sparring, kata or self-defense. It was this: “Every day try to reach down and pull someone up a bit.” She was suttle about it, but that was always who she was to me. I live by this to this very day and I help anyone and everyone that I can everyday of my life.
I am so thankful that our paths crossed. When I think about it, I probably would not have survived without her.
Pammy, Jodi, Michael and grandchildren, you were very lucky to have her. She will live on in all of our hearts.

I am sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of all of you. Your Mom was a dynamic woman. I always enjoyed her free spirit.

I credit Sensei Snyder for teaching me life skills as much as karate. I use the skills she taught me every day of my life, even though I haven’t practiced karate for years. Her dojo was a place that welcomed all, allowed us to be ourselves, and encouraged us to be more than we ever dared dream. Godspeed, Bobbi!
