BOBBIE J. (FITZGERALD) FERGUSONFuneral services for Bobbie J. (Fitzgerald) Ferguson, 79, of Yukon, previously of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Sheerer officiating.Bobbie J. (Fitzgerald) Ferguson was born to Andrew Jackson and Myrtle Frances (Petty) Fitzgerald on December 26, 1928, at Tipton, Oklahoma. She died Saturday, November 1, 2008, at her home in Yukon.Bobbie attended and graduated from Tipton Public Schools in Tillman County. For a short time she lived and worked in Oklahoma City before her marrying Paul Edward Ferguson on September 1, 1947. She and Paul lived in Stillwater while he attended Oklahoma A and M. They later moved to La Jara, Colorado where Paul taught at Adams State College and Bobbie was a homemaker. Paul and Bobbie returned to Chickasha, Oklahoma in 1954, when Paul joined Ferguson Motor Company to work with his brother Don R. Ferguson and father, Paul P. Ferguson.Bobbie worked for Chickasha Production Credit Association from 1967 until her retirement in 1990. While with the PCA, Bobbie served in various capacities including clerk, office manager, and finally a vice-president. Bobbie continued to reside in Chickasha until 2004 when she moved to Yukon to be closer to her daughters. She was preceded in death by both parents and her husband.Bobbie is survived by her sister, Billie Wilson, of Stillwater; four children: Bob Ferguson and wife, Diane, of Odessa, Texas; daughter, Sheila (Ferguson) Beam and husband Wayne, of Yukon; son, Andy Ferguson and wife Denise, of Chickasha; and daughter Shelley (Ferguson) Erdman and husband Alan, of Yukon. In addition Bobbie also leaves eight grandchildren: Stephanie Smith, of Yukon, Amy White, of Edmond, Morgan Erdman, of Yukon, Micah Jones, of Yukon, Sean Ferguson, of Maryland, Ryan Ferguson, of Yukon, Christina Venhuizen, of Wyoming, and Teri Lynn Ferguson, of Wyoming; Bobbie also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
