Bobbie Jean Lee

Bobbie Jean Lee, 82, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away peacefully at the Alverno on Friday, February 3, 2017. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, at the Second Baptist Missionary Church. A visitation will occur from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church on Saturday. Burial will take place at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements. Bobbie Jean Taylor was born May 14, 1934 to Clarence and Millie (Bond) Taylor in Brownsville, Tennessee. She professed the hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Antioch Baptist Church. She later went to Clinton, Iowa and joined the Second Baptist Church. She sang in the choir for many years She loved to cook, garden, crochet and sew. Bobbie gave birth to one son, Frank Taylor. She married Hosea E. Lee and to this union three children were born: Vincent, Eddie L. and Hosea G. Lee. She is survived by two sons: Eddie Louis (Antoinette) and Hosea Gerard (Carol). She was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind special friends, Raymond Wilson, Yvonne Davis and Pat Johnston. The family extends their appreciation to all who have shown their love and support through their friendship with Bobbie. Preceding Bobbie in death were her husband, Hosea E., and two sons: Frank and Vincent. Seven siblings also proceeded Bobbie in death: Sarah (Brown), Odessa (Drake), Cleora (Parish), Lorine (Pulmer), Lougina, Prentis and Jimmie Taylor. All who knew Bobbie loved her, but God loved her best - Bobbie went to be with the Lord. Memorials made can be directed to the family.
