Bobby was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Florence County to the late Author and Alice Brown Sr. Bobby graduated from Wilson High School in 1961. After graduated he moved to Washington, D.C., where he lived for a number of years. He was a member of 10th Street Baptist Church. After returning to South Carolina he reunited with Savannah Grove Baptist Church where he sang on the Male chorus and the Sanctuary choir.
He was a member of the Sensational Brown Brothers of Effingham. Bobby was known for his outgoing personality and his radiant and uplifting smile.
He is survived by his daughters, Audrey Brown, Barbara LaTonya Brown of Jacksonville, Fla., Danielle (Dorian) Matthews of Greensboro, N.C., and Tammy McKnight of Florence; a son, Quinton (Michelle) Lockhart of Columbia; a special companion, Elizabeth Lockhart; four sisters, Beatrice Brooks, Elizabeth (Leroy) Smith, Ruth (Modecia) Schultz and Doris (Nathaniel) Lockhart; six brothers, Author (Luvenia) Brown, Sam (Flora) Brown, Henry Brown, Norris (Vivian) Brown, Billy (Thomasena) Brown and George (Aquila) Brown; two aunts; a host of nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at 3101 Ball Park Road, Effingham.

We apologize for the lateness of this entry. We just heard about it. Our prayer is for God to forgive Bobby of all his sins and grant him a high place in the paradise. We prayer that God will by a Comforter of mercy and peace in your heart that only the most merciful God can give to His servants. Bobby will be missed by all of us.
