I met Dr. Glickman in 2008. I was a competitive bodybuilder and had to have hernia surgery, and Dr. Glickman went out of his way to help me, and to make the smallest incision possible. He didn't have to provide this extra care, but he did, and he shared that he appreciated my hobby, and he shared pictures of him and his son enjoying his hobby: motorcross! I went to find Dr. Glickman's contact info to refer to a friend that needs surgery and found out that he had passed in 2016. I am so sorry to his family and friends - it is obvious that He was dearly loved, and that the experience I had with him was just a small sample of what a genuine person he was. When he talked about his son and motorcross - he lit up, time stood still, and he was in his happy place. I can only imagine the countless lives that Dr. Glickman touched both professionally and personally - he truly was and is a difference maker and the ideal example of what we want our doctors to embody: kindness, compassion, and a deep desire to help. Thank You, Dr. Glickman, for being someone that I will never forget.

Some people in the world bring a smile and kind words wherever they go. This was Bobby in medical school. No matter how busy we were studying for tests or seeing patients, Bobby always brought a ray of kind and compassionate sunshine. Very sad to hear about his passing. He helped so many people with his genuine kindness and brilliant intellect. He touched more people than he knew. Sending love to his family.

I was deeply saddened to learn today of Bobby Glickman's passing, when I went to schedule an appointment for my son. I also went to Dr. Glickman many years ago for a consult for removal and biopsy of some microcalcifications, potential precursor of cancer which I no longer need to worry about. My son has another medical concern for which he was seeing Dr. Glickman. My son and I are ever grateful patients, who appreciate his thoughtful and thorough care as well as his personable while professional manner. He will be sorely missed and our hearts go out to his lovely family. Strength and peace to all those close to him.

My heartfelt condolence to Bobby Glickman's family, friends and colleagues. I met him in July 2011 when I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. I was so scared of my future but after my first visit with Bobby I was put at ease with his compassion and truly listened to my concerns. And he had a sense of humor. I needed that. Truly a professional but a friend. I was shocked and sad to hear of his diagnosis and now his passing. Every time I hear a Beatles song I think of him. I know he adored his family from the way he talked of them. God bless.

I worked with DR. Glickman for the last few years in the Sutter Delta Medical center and I never heard any negative points from his patients and staff and their feedbacks always were that how caring and passionate and a great surgeon he is and at the same time he was very serious about his patients, and their satisfaction meant so much to him. He always care more for others than himself. Sometimes I would see him outside of the hospital and most of the times he had his kids with him and he was very active and involved with their activities despite his busy work and schedule that he had.One time As he found out that I am Persian, he mentioned that he loves Persian culture and food and he loves his wife's Persian cooking and how much he enjoys to be with her friends and family gathering and he felt lucky about that, from his smile it was easy to see how truly he was in love with his wife and her family. He was very down to earth,caring, hard working,passionate and respectful person to everyone and we all miss him. Also I like to send my condolences to MRS. Glickman, Ryan and Athena.

Dr. Glickman helped my daughter, along with Dr. Busfield, with her sterno clavicular ganglion cyst. Dr. Glickman said that he finally had a story to tell with my daughter's case, due to the circumstances of the operation and the timing. He was such a gentle, kind man. The one thing I really appreciated was when he met my daughter to talk about her situation, he truly talked to her and genuinely listened. Even after the healing process had passed, he wanted us to keep him updated to her situation and education. I only knew him for a short time, but I will never forget him. My daughter, Jessica, has been surrounded by many doctors and specialists over the years. Dr. Glickman was and always will be one of her favorites. He was a doctor that truly understood bedside manner. Such a loss. Our hearts go out to the family.

My husband and I just learned today of Dr. Bobby Glickman's passing when I went to his Antioch office to see a doctor regarding another matter. We were both totally shocked! Dr. Glickman was a wonderful surgeon and I'm sure we are just two of many that he helped through our own cancer scare. One of my favorite stories is when Dr. Busfield (Mr. "A" type personality) and I were talking and he said "When I grow up I want to be just like Bobby Glickman! Quiet and easy going." R.I.P. Dr. Glickman. Our condolences to your family.

Everyone who ever knew Bobby is saddened by this loss, for Bobby and for his family. As an old friend, I always felt close to him, despite sadly little interaction since a long time gone. All of my family in South Florida who knew him when he lived there continued to ask after him, despite not seeing him for more than 15 years. Even as a teenager, his light burned bright. He traveled to our wedding in Florida in 2003 and all of us still talk about what a gift that was for us. Deepest heartfelt condolences to all his family.

Dr Bobby Glickman was a God gifted person .i had so many chances to work with Dr glickman at JMMCC .i Rember one day while Dr Glickman was doing his pts rounding in the hospital .His pt was very sad because of her illness .Dr glickman asked the pt what can I do to make u feel better. It was thanksgiving day & the pt said I WANT A STEAK and RIB DINNER .DR Gllickman suprised the pt at Dinner time with the meal for the pt and her husband .Dr with a smile on his Face . So sad to hear of Dr Glickmans passing. I worked with him at John Muir hospital. He was always so caring with his patients. Always took time to fully explain things to the staff, so respectful .

First of all, please accept my deepest condolence.. I haven't even met Dr. Glickman in person, but I just had to write to you. My husband, Dr.Tony Yang, is a pathologist mostly working at Sutter Delta. We moved from Reno to Bay Area last year so I could continue my medical education. A few months into my husband's new job, he received a forwarded email from the CEO of Sutter Delta that Dr.Glickman had written to her, to let her know how he was impressed with my husband's work and found him very helpful. He called Tony " a star of his field". I have to say, I was far more impressed by Dr. Glickman's thoughtfulness than my husband's work! What surgeon would take time out of his busy schedule to drop such a kind note to acknowledge his coworker? That alone speaks a volume how he was a person of a genuinely kind spirit.
I am now 4th year med student at Touro University, and I also have heard great things about Dr. Glickman from students who worked with him during their elective rotations. I am certain he had been a role model for every med student who was fortunate enough to learn from him.
Tony and I are so sad to hear his passing, I continue to pray that the gracious Lord may protect and strengthen your family always,

Yesterday, Bob and I were stunned to learn of Bobby's death. We have such fond, warm memories of Bobby from our days in Omaha when he and Bob were in residency together. Bobby was one of those really, truly genuine people. Very little ego, very self effacing but super intelligent and thoughtful.
My favorite memory of Bobby during residency is when he borrowed our tent for a camping excursion. It was May or June and I believe he went to Yellowstone Park. It was plenty warm in Omaha that time of year so none of us even considered the possibility of inclement weather. So it was sort of unexpected that after he hiked a mile or so off the path and set up the tent that he woke up the next morning and was snowed in! We had so much fun laughing and teasing him about it afterwards.
We will miss him.

I received news of Bobby's Memorial while on vacation. I was shocked and sad at his death. I grieve with many and especially with Ladan and the children. I knew him as a faithful and gentle resident in Surgery at the Univ. of Nebraska. I have maintained off and on contact with him on the internet. He is someone I'll never forget.

Bobby was the most amazing human being we have all met. Bobby and I met at the young age of just 16, and we remained the best of friends since. Gentle, honest, humble, yet passionate Bobby embodied what I feel all of us strive to be like. To me he was a hero, my inspiration in so many ways. He always was my rock, my friend who always was there to support me and lead me down the right path. We shared so many special times together, and to see him achieve all he did in his life was a wonderful blessing to witness. Dr. Glickman was my husband's surgeon as we started down his journey with cancer just about a year ago. He was so kind and understanding. Little did we know he was traveling the same path. Dr. Glickman had been my doctor for the last 8 years. When I first met him, I remember thinking how soft spoken he was. As the years went by, I really came to appreciate how wonderful and considerate he was. He was always so thorough and patient. He had to break the news to me in 2013 that I had breast cancer.He immediately got me in for surgery, and he later did my reconstruction surgery, and did a wonderful job.He kept me at ease through the entire ordeal. I am deeply saddened to hear of his going. He will be missed by many. He was truly a great Doctor. My prayers and condolences are with his wife and children.
