Friendsville - Bobby Gene Pollard, age 86, of Friendsville, TN, passed away June 22, 2025. He was born in Ardmore, OK, and enlisted in the US Marine Corps where he served as a rifleman and small arms director at Camp Pendelton, CA from 1957-1959.

Bob was an active member of the Scottish Rite and the Masonic Lodge for 38 years. In 2013 he received the highest honor degree of Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, the 33rd Degree, and received his KCCH 2007. From the York Rite he received the highest honor, the Order of the Purple Cross from the Sovereign Grand College. As a Mason, Bob was Past Master of Unita Lodge #295, and George Washington Lodge #181, Honorary Member of New Providence Lodge #48, Member of the Valley of Knoxville Scottish Rite, and Athens and Maryville York Rite bodies from which he received his KYCH. Bob was a Kentucky Colonel and a Tennessee Colonel.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Mary Frances Lasley of Friendsville, parents James & Marie Pollard of Lenoir City, brother James Ray Pollard of Payette County, ID, sister Charlotte Ann Scarbro of Maryville, and daughter Brenda Jean Norraddine of Fairbanks, AK.

He is survived by his brother Billy Joe Pollard, Parker, CO, and children, Saundra Fitzgerald, Cheryl Jones, Allan Pollard, and Aaron Pollard all of Arizona, adopted daughter Heather Williams, Greensburg, IN, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, step-daughters Lisa Montgomery of Beach Haven, NJ, and Anne Williams-Appelman of Knoxville, 4 step-grandchildren, and 9 step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 9th at 12:30pm at the Smith Trinity Chapel, 1402 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN, with a Masonic Service to follow at 2:00. Burial service is at 3:00 in the Grandview Mausoleum Chapel, 2304 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN.
