Bobby Rhoades Obituary
Surviving are his wife, Judy Ann Wilcox Rhoades of the home; three sons, Roger Lee Rhoades and wife Sandra of Elkin, Scotty Lee Rhoades and wife Jodi, Jason Lee Rhoades and wife Jaime all of Mooresville; his mother, Vernelle Bare Rhoades of Hays; brother, Elbert Rhoades, Jr. and wife Arlene of Matthews; half-brother, Ricky Rhoades of Hays; half-sister, Trixie Rhoades of Hays; and four grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 o'clock Monday, February 16, 2015 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock on Monday, prior to the service. The family has requested no flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements. Judy and boys and family: So sorry for your loss. You may not remember me but we were neighbors at Oakwoods for many years. My children are Russell Ashburn and Carrie Ashburn Shaw. I am divorced from their father for 10 yrs now, Gray Ashburn. Judy, u were always such a great help to me and the children. A special person to us all. My prayers go out to you. I met Bobby in 1979 when we worked on a project for Holly Farms packaging and labeling operation. He understood the requirements of the people working in the plant so well and had a vision of how to make their job easier and more efficient. He is one of the nicest people that I ever met and I am sad that he is gone. Although we are sad that he is gone, I know that he is with God our father and that he is at rest. We will all be together in eternity. My sincere condolences to family and friends.
