Bobby Joe Smith, Sr., 79, a native of Mississippi and resident of Grand Isle, LA passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Bobby Joe is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jane "Jeanie" Duffourc Smith; children, Jeanette Smith (Ronnie), Joy Smith Hernandez (Corey); brothers, Mitchell Smith, Charles Smith, Larry Smith; sister, Virginia Smith Radcliff; grandchildren, Megan, John, Lottie, Calie, Conley, Chevy. He is also survived by numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi Anderson and Vernon Smith; son, Bobby Joe Smith, Jr.; brother, Curtis Smith, Winford Smith, Deryl Smith; sister, Bonnie Reynolds, Betty Smith, Levi Smith, and Jules Smith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and service on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 4p.m until 7 p.m. The service will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
