Woody,

I heard of your Mom's passing from my brother Kevin in SLC. My memories of her are of someone always bright and cheerful. My mother passed away this year as well, in the spring. Cherish your memories.

Woody, I grew up in Chevy Chase Ward wanting to grow up to be as beautiful and wonderful as your mother. She was our amazing MIA teacher and my how we loved her. I also enjoyed coming to babysit you and your brother.
Years later after my husband was in training in Houston your dad was in my Stake Presidency and I enjoyed your mother in our DUP group.
When my mother passed away, your folks were among the first to show up at our door with chocolates. How happy I was to see them. The were so thoughtful! I wish I could return the favor, but I am unable to make the funeral today. Know that you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Best regards,
Nancy Dyer Shill

Well Woody.......the legacy is all on your shoulders now. While I am saddened at your Mom's passing, my heart is full of joy just thinking about the huge grin on your Dad's face when they were reunited in Glory! One of the finest couples I had the honor to know. Visible "unbridled" (appropriate word) love for each other. Perhaps my fondest of all memories with them was an afternoon spent fishing the Tay River in Scotland with your Dad and perhaps the finest trout dinner with them that evening enjoying the fish he caught that morning! God Bless them both and you and your family. God Blessed us all for having known them! Gary

Woody, I am very sad to read about Bobette. I write this to wish you well in this time of sorrow. I went to the web site to read about her - wow, what a lady and what an inspiration she must have been to so many people. Looking forward to saying "yippee" to Glendon. I am so sorry but she had a wonderful life, as I am sure she would agree.

I have very special memories of your parents. I was their Realtor, many years ago, when they first moved to Miami. They were kind and caring people. Blessings to your family.

Bobette and Glendon were icons in the greater Miami area, especially in the LDS Church community. They were lovingly referred to as our resident general authorities. We have missed them since they returned to Utah, but fondly remember them well. Bobette always had a positive, fun loving attitude admired by all the women in the Church. Her family and loved-ones can take comfort in the legacy they left in Miami.
