Bonnie Ward Carl born May 13, 1922 in East Palestine, Ohio passed away at 100 years old on September 30th, 2022 at Park Place in Elmhurst, Illinois. She was the daughter of Clarence S. Ward and Anna Duchez Ward of East Palestine, Ohio. She was a 1940 graduate of East Palestine High School and attended Ohio Wesleyan College in Delaware, Ohio. Bonnie was married to Jack Reese Carl for 66 years who preceded her in death in 2012. Also preceding her in death was her sister Bettie Louise Bartlett, a daughter Betty Carl Fuller, another daughter Barby Carl Patronski and a son Robert Carl. She is survived by a daughter Nancy Carl Mills (Rick) and four grandchildren Jonathan, Geoffrey, Emily, Lauren and one great-grandchild Grayson.

Bonnie was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. All her grandchildren will forever remember that she took a particular joy in hosting the Christmas holidays creating many lifelong memories for all who were there. Family was her life as she resided in Oak Brook, Illinois in the family home that she and Jack built in 1962. Before settling in Oak Brook for the past 60 years, Bonnie resided in Portland OR, Granville, OH and Bay Village, OH. In addition to her dedication to family, Bonnie worked in the family business, Andrews-Bartlett, for many years performing various jobs as needed until it was sold in 1993. She and Jack were long-time members of Ruth Lake Country Club in Hinsdale, IL and Bonnie was a lifelong member of the Delta Gamma sorority serving the group in various capacities over the years.
