Bonnie (Pomeroy) Jenson died unexpectedly Wednesday March 9, 2022, at home. She was 64.
Bonnie was born in Walton on November 15, 1957. The youngest child of Earl and Janet (Brannen) Pomeroy.
Bonnie graduated from Walton Central School, Class of 1975. She worked at the Walton Bakery, Downsville Central School, SUNY Delhi, SUNY Oneonta and retired in 2017 from Binghamton University as Senior Associate Director, Human Resources. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Empire while working full time. To say that Bonnie was a dedicated worker would be an understatement. She enjoyed the challenges and rewards that her work brought her. Above that, she enjoyed the people she worked with. Each one was special to her. Bonnie was a true and faithful friend, always ready to jump in with support. Each person in her life was special to Bonnie, she loved deeply.
Bonnie had a special empathy for animals and thoroughly loved her Doberman “pups”: Doc Holliday and Daisy Duke. She spent many hours taking her pups for walks or just sitting with them at home. They were her constant companions. She was predeceased by her special pup “Angel”. She enjoyed music, craft shows, guns, four wheelers, walking, friends, and family. In her younger years she had a love of motorcycles enjoying many summer rides, and always meticulous about her cars, cleaning and polishing them weekly.
Bonnie married Robert Jenson on July 24,1994. They enjoyed many years on the “hill”, and she loved spending time on their property. Although Bonnie had no biological children, she had so many “adopted” children of friends and family. She cherished them. As much as Bonnie loved others, she loved her Lord above all. “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. She enjoyed her years and relationships at the East Branch Community Church where her father preached. Those were special times for her. Bonnie sang in different groups at church and was an unofficial leader of the young people’s group activities. She made lifelong friends there. Those that knew her will remember her sweet sprit and quick and easy laughter.
Bonnie was predeceased by her father Earl Pomeroy and Father- in-Law Percy Jenson as well as loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends that have passed before her. She is survived by her loving husband Bob Jenson, her mother Janet Pomeroy, her sister Dawn (Doug) Norwood, Brother Gene (Eiko) Pomeroy. Bob’s children, Robert (Jennifer) Jenson Jr., and Julie Jenson. Grandchildren, Amelia, Alec, Taylor, Katee and Makayla. Her beloved niece Jordan. Bonnie was very proud of her and spoke of her often. She is also survived by her uncle, many cousins, friends and “adopted” children. God will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more sorrow.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 18th, 2022, at the East Branch Community Church, Church Street, East Branch, NY 13756 at 1pm with a memorial service at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation in Bonnie’s memory to: Doberman Rescue Unlimited, 52 Tenny Rd, Sandown, NH 03873.
Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:3 KJV

Bonnie was one of my favorite people at Binghamton University. We shared many laughs over the years when I would seek out her advice and assistance on HR matters. I was so happy for her when retirement came calling even though I missed her so much. My deepest sympathies and love for your family.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Bonnie's passing. Bonnie worked with my father, "Mr. C." at Binghamton University. I have fond memories of talking with her when I would stop over in the HR office. We are a "doggie" family too, so many conversations centered around our 4-legged family members. My sincere condolences and prayers for your loved ones.

I work in the Music Department at SUNY Binghamton, and I always enjoyed reaching out to Bonnie with any questions I had regarding HR things. She was so kind and so knowledgeable! She was that "go to" person always willing to help. I am sorry to hear of her passing, and I hope that her memory will continue to be a blessing to her family...I know that it will be for me. Prayers and condolences.

Bonnie and I were good friends in high school, and enjoyed attending basketball games together. I lost track of her and many other of my classmates from our graduating class of "75" in Walton. Rest in Peace, my friend.

My heart is saddened by your passing but I truly know you are in a better place than we can ever imagine. Knowing this brings a smile through the tears which I know you would want. I will always remember your spicy attitude and passionate talk about firearms. I still have the 380 I bought from you and it will forever remind me of your smile. May the perpetual light of our Lord shine upon your soul. ❤

Bob & Family;
I was shocked and saddened to hear about Bonnie, and will miss her always. She had a special grace, and was always there for anyone who needed her. Her love of her Dobies was known to all, and she took great care of all of them. She went above and beyond in our office, and was a joy to work with-we enjoyed our walks at lunchtime in good weather and bad. I’ll never forget the golf tournament when we got caught in a thunderstorm because we were so far out that we didn’t hear the horn to return to the clubhouse! I’ve never laughed harder than I did with Bonnie, abd my heart breaks for you and for the rest of us. My prayers are with you and your family, Bob.
