Bonnie Kotrba Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 3, 2025.
Born on October 21, 1946, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Bonnie Louise Kotrba (Burianek) lived a life marked by grace, resilience, and unwavering love. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Growing up in the heart of the Midwest, she carried the warmth of her hometown throughout her life. Whether it was her gentle wisdom, her infectious laughter, or the way she made everyone feel at home, she had a gift for making ordinary moments extraordinary.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend-always putting others before herself. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her strength was quiet but fierce. She taught us how to love deeply, forgive freely, and live with purpose.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Richard Kotrba, her children, Debbie Devine-Barnhill (Terry), Renee Devine, and Rich Kotrba (Cass), six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, who will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude. She is also survived by her sister Carolyn Majerus. She was preceded in death by son Scott Kotrba, her parents John and Mayme Burianek, her in laws William and Dorothy Kotrba, her siblings Charlotte Mortenson and Thomas (Butch) Burianek, and brother-in-law Billy Kotrba.

A celebration of her life will be held at her home in Surprise, Arizona on Saturday September 6, 2025 where friends and family will gather to honor the beautiful soul she was.

She will be deeply missed, but her light will never fade.
