Bonnie Greenhalgh Kouris, 86, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at her home. A long time resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Mrs. Kouris died following an illness of two and one half years.

She was born on January 4, 1927 in Neola, Utah, the daughter of the late William Wallace Greenhalgh and Sevella Ann Wilson.

Mrs. Kouris attended schools in Utah.

She married William Kouris on December 19, 1964 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he preceded her in death on September 17, 1997.

Her interests included spending time with her family and friends, playing pinochle and polka dancing.

Survivors include one son Kraig Kouris of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two daughters Jackie Carlson of Hazel Green, Alabama and Vickie Lee Budak of Rock Springs, Wyoming; five grandchildren Michelle Maser of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Toni Stinchcomb and husband Kenneth of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Tami Mitchell of Hazel Green, Alabama, Darin Budak and wife Kris of Bakersfield, California and Alexander Fisher of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two brothers Ned Greenhalgh and wife Mildred of Las Vegas, Nevada and Monte Greenhalgh and wife Rose of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four sisters Gail Andrews and husband Tom of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Glenna Jelosek and husband Jim of Colorado Springs, Colorado, DeEtte Angelovic of Salt Lake City, Utah and Mona Thomas and husband Scotty of Rock Springs, Wyoming; seven great-grandchildren D.J. Maser, Mitch Maser and wife Jessica, Kendra Anne Stinchcomb, Kristin Stinchcomb, Destinee Morris, Kobie Budak, and Kristopher Budak; one great-grandchild Marlee Maser; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters Marjorie Elliot, LaRee Madden and Sheila Williams and two brothers Billy Greenhalgh and Ted Greenhalgh.

Following cremation, a celebration of life will be conducted at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the Outlaw Inn, 1630 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the home of her daughter at 1804 Elk Street Space 155, Rock Springs, Wyoming.

The family of Bonnie Kouris respectfully suggests that donations in her memory be made to Cowboys Against Cancer, 1893 Dewar Drive, Rock Springs, Wyoming or Red Desert Humane Society, 310 Yellowstone Road, Rock Springs, Wyoming.
