Bonnie was a wonderful friend and colleague at Woodcroft School while I worked with her and the children. I'm sure she is in Heaven reading to all the "little angels". Thinking of you, bless you, Rod, Ian and Jamie. Sincerely, Betty Baran

My deepest, heartfelt sympathy to all of Bonnie's beloved family members and friends. She truly was a very kind, bright light. That incandescent smile of hers had the capacity to warm everyone in her midst. We shared a similar taste in fiction and enjoyed many great talks about books. She was a tremendous asset to Woodcroft School's students, staff, parents and community. On vacation in Iceland when I received the heartbreaking news, I lit a candle for Bonnie in a beautiful, hilltop church and continued to think about her while seated on a volcanic beach with dazzling, sunlit iceberg crystals scattered across the black velvet sand. Too soon. Too soon.

Bonnie was a tireless member of the Child Haven Dinner committee. She worked so very hard coordinating the auction. I remember her sparkling at meetings - eager to tell of new donations. And then when the dinner came, she laid everything out with the greatest of care. Perhaps it was a metaphor for how she lived her life - with sparkle and with great caring. We will miss you Bonnie.

I first met Bonnie in the Peace movement where she was a leader in Edmontonians for a Non-Nuclear Future (ENUUF) which met at the Unitarian Church. We were so blessed when she decided to join the Church. We have all been enriched by her in so many ways. Every reading she did at our services was spell binding. She helped many of us on our spiritual paths with dreamwork and learning to walk a labyrinth. And how are we to go on without your loving hugs, your beautiful smile and your contagious laughter?

Rod, Jamie and Ian, I send my deepest sympathy for your loss and will know that you all have special memories of Bonnie, your wife and Mom.
Yes, I also have many fond memories of "The Mothers' and Daughters'" attending the symphony, going for tea...or maybe wine for the Mothers'. Our Woodcroft group did have fun together, lots of spontaneous get togethers, lots of memories.
Bonnie your beautiful smile will be in our hearts forever.

I remember fondly the trips to the symphony and out for tea afterwards with our daughters when they were little and we all lived in Woodcroft.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

My sincere sympathy to Bonnie's family at this time. Not only did she inspire a love of reading in my son, she showed him how to share the gift of words with others. It was an honour to stay in touch over her contributions to the library in Atwima Apemanim and to see the impact of her generosity.

Devastating! We are a small community at Atwima Apemanim in Ghana and our small library has Bonnie's books. Thanks so much Bonnie! You will forever be remembered by the boys and girls who read due to your generosity.

Bonnie was a remarkable wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt, sister-in-law, niece, cousin, friend and colleague. She cared deeply for everyone and was loved by many. I personally will remember her generous heart, smile, hugs, love for her family and love of books. In whatever way you knew Bonnie (Mrs. Kyle), treasure your memories. Strive to emulate her. Be a little kinder, love more deeply, be a better person for having known her. I had the honour of being her sister-in-law for 42 years. I love you and will miss you forever!

My Bonnie, my first and oldest friend, I miss you so much. I will try to live the rest of my days, trying to be as nice, as kind, as you. And to slow down, to see the grace and joy in every day like you did. I love you, my twin.

My deepest condolences, Kyle family. Bonnie was a great second mom to me, and the girls in the theatre, cake, and tea gang from Woodcroft when we were little. You could always count on a true, honest, and witty critic from Mrs. Kyle. I will always remember her with great fondness.
