Wow, about a month has passed now and the shock has worn off. I look over all of these wonderful sentiments for my Aunt Bonnie, I find tears streaming again. The nice thing is that they are wonderful and comforting tears. Happy memories and knowing that so many people have loved Bonnie. I look forward so much to joining her again on that great day.

Dear Louie and family,

My most sincere condolences to you all. Time is a healer and it does mend broken hearts. Remembering all of your good times together will help, too. My thoughts are with you all.

My Dear Aunty Bonnie: You were so much more than an aunt to me. We were friends. We took trips up the North Shore, to Valleyfair; we played badmitten in the driveway; we took walks in the winter woods where you literally left a part of yourself on the trail! That is a great memory. Its hard to believe you are gone...I still think I will see you pop up on my "buddy list", or pull into mom's driveway to have some of her "bologna buns" and ask us for money for some shoes you found. Singing along to Neil Sedaka and the Everly Brothers will forever bring back the fondest memories of you. You left a void in my heart. I love you and Miss you. Wherever you are, I hope you have lots of shoes!

Our condolences to Roger (Louie) and family. Our memories of Bonnie

she was full of humor. Always had a quick & humorous comeback to your statement. She Loved her family and their grandchildren. Was always looking for the winning scratch off! While her health took a toll on her & cut her time short she is now in peace watching over her precious family. Our love to all you, George, Carol, George 3rd & Kris Palmer

Wow...to say I'm shocked beyond belief would be an understatement. I absolutely loved Bonnie. We worked together at the Swan Lake Group Home and would have so much fun together. Trying to get all of our work done at the last minute...after shooting the breeze for most of the shift. She talked about her family ALL the time..the boys...grocery bills with 3 male teenagers, her Husband, her little grandkids. Her family was her life. She loved them all so much. Bonnie had a wonderful spirit and a great sense of humor. I looked forward to working when we were on the same shift together. Plus she was a great cook so we liked assigning her to cooking the meals. The kitchen would look like a tornado went through there, but, the cleanup would be so worth it because the food was always so great! I am so sad to hear that we have lost such a wonderful woman. I haven't seen Bonnie in about a year. We ran into each other at the Dr. I ended up sitting in the waiting room with her forever trying to catch up on old times and I ended up missing my appointment. She said to come over for coffee at her new place. (I think on Skyline?) Oh, how I wish I had. I will always cherish her spirit and be grateful for all the gifts she gave to me by making a period of my life so much fun.

Dear Louie, Roger, Brandon and Aaron,

My heart is absolutely broken. I send you my love and my deepest and most sincere sympathy. Your family has been a part of my life for over 30 years and I consider Bonnie to have been one of my closest friends. I will miss her so much...more than I tell you. Even though it'd been a very long time since we actually had seen each other, by way of telephone and the internet, we stayed close. I'll miss her humor (oh, and she could make me laugh!) and I'll miss our talks that could go on for hours on end. I'm really at a loss for words. I just keep remembering all the fun she and I had when we were all together in Weisbaden. Seems like a lifetime ago, and I guess it was. I'll always be grateful for the night Mark told me he had a buddy that needed a ride to DesMoines 'cause his wife in Duluth was having a baby and he had to get home. Remember, Louie? That was just the beginning. And Brandon made it into the world right after you got there. And when we all arrived in Germany, that's when the fun and the friendship started. We really had a good time there and made alot of wonderful memories. A woman has a special place in her heart for a friend who she's shared childbirth with! (smile) I love you all and I will be here if you need just to talk. Bonnie will always be in our hearts and thank God for the gift of memory. I'll never forget her voice..."Hi Sue...this is Bonnie"...and then hours later "well, I'd better go now -- talk to you later! Take care!" I tell you I'm going to miss her... but the truth is, I already do.

God bless you all and know that you will all be in my prayers that God will be with you and give you comfort when the days and nights are more than you can handle alone.

Mark and I send you all our love.

Sue
