Bonnie Lea Wardlow

Bonnie Lea Wardlow, age 78, of Aurora, CO, passed away on June 22, 2023. She was born on September 27, 1944. Bonnie was a beloved and funny woman who brought joy to everyone around her. She was known for her loving and family-oriented nature. Bonnie had a spicy and playful personality, always keeping those around her entertained with her wit and cleverness.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters Lori (Chris) Salazar, Lisa Lambert, Amy Coates, and son Tom (Jane) Odneal. She was a cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren: Garrett, Thomas, Steven, Terra, Doug, Nicky, and Tuck. Additionally, Bonnie was a proud great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Wardlow, sister Judy Hurd, and her parents Edward and Mary Smith.

Bonnie attended Hazel Grove Elementary School and graduated from Washington High School, Class of 1962. Throughout her life, she had a passion for travel, especially Autumn Leaf Peeping. Bonnie enjoyed capturing memories through photography, scrapbooking, and painting. She had a love of music, theater and movies. She also had a knack for collecting various items. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and playing games together.

A ceremony to honor Bonnie's life will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area C, in Denver, Colorado, on July 28, 2023, at 12:00 pm. Following the service, a reception will take place at Rendezvous @ Heather Gardens in the Memorial Banquet Room, located at 2888 S Heather Gardens Way, Aurora, CO 80014.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Denver School of the Arts, Vocal Music Department, in Bonnie's memory.
