Bonnie White Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 16, 2015.
Bonnie L. White, 86, of Wichita Falls passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with Harvey McMurry officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 Monday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. White was born October 19, 1928 in Glen Rose, TX to the late Jack and Willie (Ratliff) Harber. She married Hugh L. White October 26, 1946 in Pecos, TX. They moved to Wichita Falls in 1976. Bonnie was a great neighbor, especially to the children. They flocked to her because she was kind and always listened to them. She loved Halloween and handing out candy to the kids. Working in the yard was her passion, listening to her radio, often to rock music because that is what the kids liked. She enjoyed observing nature and "digging in the earth". Bonnie lived life simply, always with a positive attitude, choosing to look for the good in others. She was decisive, funny, warm, welcoming, politically aware, knew her own mind and was always the best neighbor and friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Saundra Harris in 2013 and by all of her six siblings.

Survivors are her husband, Hugh L. White of Wichita Falls; grandson, Corey Harris of Ohio; two great grandsons; several nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was so sweet to my boys as they were growing up. She also was such a comfort to us when out oldest son died. She was a great neighbor and friend.
