Booker Wright Obituary
He attended schools in Alabama later to receive his GED.
Booker leaves to cherish many loving memories, his daughters, Nadine Wright, Yvonne (William) Wells, Celestine Ingram, Lora (Huey) Jackson and Yvette Wright and son Keith Wright; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; three brothers Leonard (Gennella), Anthony (Sharon) and Donald (Beverly) Wright a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including his sister in law Shirley Allen, Martha & Maria Wright and god sons Min. Joseph Pearson, Earl Dotson Jr., and Min. Kurt McGhee. He was predeceased by his parents 3 sisters and 7 brothers.
Services will be held 12:00 noon Monday, February 19, 2018 at Providence Baptist Church 2209 Clifton Avenue. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home 2429 W. State St.

To my nieces and their families...I was so sorry to hear of the passing of my brother-in-law. Your father and your late mother were always so nice to be and I will always appreciate all the things they did for me. I was sorry I could not make the Service but my heart and prayers were with you and will continue during this period of bereavement. I love all of you. May Booker's soul rest in peace. Sending my sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Booker Wright. So many memories for me having grown up on Rose Ave and all the families that always looked out for each other. Mr. And Mrs. Wright were always there. Beautiful family. You all are in my prayers.

To the Wright family:
Deacon Wright is the last of the old school deacons at Providence. I miss all of them because they had great love for the church and their commitment to do right by the church was admirable! I respected Deacon Wright because he was a person who said what he meant and meant what he said and gave little thought if any to who did or didn't like it. Farewell Deacon Wright, you will always be remembered fondly! Family, keep those precious memories of him forever in your heart!! May God bless and keep all of you is my prayer.
