Dr. Boyce G. Tollison

He was truly a great doctor from the time I was born until he left Easley Baptist Hospital. no one can fill his shoes the best doctor I ever had!

Dr. Tollison was my childhood doctor. He told my mother Inez that he hoped that his wife and his self would have a daughter that looked just like me blonde hair and blue eyed ,he said that won´t work we both have dark hair and brown eyes. Mom said God can make anything can happen. Dr. Tollison said you´re right. I was prettier than the Gerber baby.

He was my Dr. and delivered 3 of my children 1972,1976,and 1978. He saved my life in 1980 He was a great man. I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm revisiting this website and have been reading all of the notes people have written and felt like I should share a memory too. First of all I want to thank Dr. Tollison's family for sharing him with us. He was such a wonderful and caring doctor. He took care of us both when we were young before we were married. To this day we've never forgotten him. Actually we compare our doctors to him and no one has come close yet. His life has blessed so many over the years. He was a great physician because he knew The Great Physician. May God continue to bless your family through the coming years!

Judy, Don and I are so very sorry to hear of Boyce's death....so sad.....I was lucky enough to have served on a committee at the AAFP with Boyce....he was so kind and generous....a true leader....everyone on the committee respected his opinion and valued his experience.....I remember going to dinners with the committee members and you and Boyce.....I saw him several times over the years at meetings and he always gave me a hug......I will truly miss him.....much love.....Nancy and Don Swikert, Kentucky

Dr Boyce Tollison was an example to be followed by all physicians. It has been my honor to know and experience his breadth of knowledge and compassion. Friends, peers and patients are better for his having been a part of his life. Judy, we will miss him immensely.

Dr. Tollison was the most caring physician I ever knew. He always greeted me with a smile. He hunted with my husband at a hunting club in Estill, SC some years ago. He even found me in CVS after he spoke to Gary at the pharmcy and asked Gary if I was in there. He found me wandering around and spoke to me. That meant very much to me. I prayed that his cancer would stay in remission forever. He gave so very much to his profession and also to his patients. We will miss him greatly. However, we all shall see him again when we arrive in God's presence . What a glorious day that will be !

Judy...Karen and I wish to send our deepest condolences to you and the family on the loss of Boyce. I had the distinct pleasure of working with him for many years on OSMAP and I will always treasure our year working directly together when he was President of OSMAP (2014-15). He was a class act and a true southern gentleman. I really enjoyed seeing you both at our many OSMAP dinners. It was with deep sadness that I learned of Dr. Boyce Tollison's passing recently. He and I began our college training as roommates while attending North Greenville Jr. College. Dr. Tollison was an inspiration to me and many other with his kind and compassionate ways. To Judy and other family members, I say you are in my thoughts and prayers as you trust the Lord Jesus Christ to give you physical strength, emotional strength and Spiritual strength and God's peace during this this very sad time and on into the future. Boyce was quite possibly the finest person I have ever known even as a teenager you knew he was someone you could rely on to always tell you the truth and offer you good advice.
He always wanted to be a doctor for all the right reasons and never lost sight of what those reasons were.

My thoughts and prayers to the Tollison family. Dr. Tollison has been our doctor since he brought my baby brother into this world many many years ago. He has been a great doctor and friend to our entire family for my whole life. When my grandfather collapsed on his front porch, Dr. T left work and rushed to the house where he and my dad gave him CPR. I don't know another doctor who would have done that. I loved Dr Tollison because of his kind, caring demeanor. He was on duty the day of my bike wreck, and he stitched up the area between my nose and upper lip with 28 skilled stitches. I was 11--terrified and in pain. He was calm, kind, and skilled. It was time to stop his work for the day, but he and his staff took care of me. My scar bothered me less and less each passing year. As an adult, I reminded him of that traumatic experience and thanked him for his work. He scrutinized his work and was pleased with it. After that, we crossed paths many times, and he appreciated my gratefulness, as I appreciated his care, kindness, and dedication. Thank you, Dr. Tollison for your faithful service to the Easley community. Thank you for your best work in my time of need.

Dr. Tollison was my physician from the time he delivered me back in 1976 until he retired. I will always smile when I think of him and feel blessed to have known such a fine man. What a legacy he has left behind.

May God be with you in this time of grieving. Boyce was a great friend to my parents and a wise leader for many. We celebrate his many gifts and mourn his passing.

Dr Tollison treated my son and I through the the 1990's. I loved his gentle ways and his knowledge of medicine. And he kept up with new treatments. He will be greatly missed. My condolences and prayers for his family, friends, and fellow church members.
