Bradley William Fugate, U.S.A.F. retired, passed away at his home in San Antonio, Texas on March 2, 2004. He was born in Renton on July 28, 1962, the son of Monte & Robyn Fugate. Brad graduated from Kent- Meridian High School in 1980 where he was the drummer in the nationally famous K-M Jazz Ensemble and later earned his Associates degree from Green River Community College. Brad served a meritorious career in the U.S.A., Europe and the Middle East, and was awarded many medals and commendations as a Special Agent in the U.S.A.F. Office of Special Investigations. He is survived by his wife Kathryn; stepchildren Christopher and Lauren Bryant; parents, grandmothers Alice Fugate and June Allard; three sisters, Lisa Wilson, Lori Ham, and Ashley Jellison; four brothers Greg and Heath Fugate, and Bradley and Brian Graham; 11 nieces and nephews. Military services were conducted at Fort Sam Houston, Texas on March 8 and his remains will be interned at Kent Hillcrest Cemetery. There will be an Open House in his memory at the family home at 23040- 96th Avenue South, Kent on Sunday, March 21. The family requests any donations be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 in honor of his precious daughter Lauren who has received so much help from that institution. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. Brad was in my class at East Hill Elementary (2nd grade) and I remember what a fun-loving and respectful boy he was. He made that first year a wonderful beginning for me.
